Things you stop chasing when you find real peace and self-love…
Not the trendy kind of self-love. The kind that looks like contentment, acceptance of what is, and quiet reassurance that you’re on the right path.
When that kind of love & peace settles in, you stop chasing:
• A bigger house
• A partner just to say you have one
• Validation from others
• Trying to impress people
• Approval from people who were never going to understand you anyway
• Other people’s opinions about your life
And when you stop chasing…here’s what you gain:
• Solitude for reflection and introspection
• A peaceful, quiet, happy, home
• Creativity is sparked
• Calm nervous system is achieved
• Your own schedule and freedom to do what you like
• Personal growth
• Real rest and relaxation
• More meaningful time with family and friends
Eventually you realize something powerful:
Deep, unimaginable self-love is actualized. You realize you were never supposed to spend your life chasing people & things—clothes, purses, fancy restaurants, big houses, or expensive cars. Peace is the absence of chasing.
What I know for certain, when you stop chasing all of that…peace finally finds you ☮️
