1st Black Woman to WIN Speedskating Gol

Jackson became only the second Black skater to medal at an Olympics in speedskating, joining Shani Davis, who won gold in the men’s 1000-meters in both the 2006 and 2010 Olympics.
Leading up to this milestone, Jackson also had the distinction of being the first Black woman to win a World Cup race when she clocked the fastest time in the 500-meters last
Ironically Jackson, failed to qualify because of a slip during the 500 meters Olympic trails. But the 29-year-old got some welcome news when the winner of the event, Brittany Bowe, gave up her spot, allowing #1 ranked Jackson to make the team and win GOLD!
Congratulations to Erin Jackson?
